This Privacy Policy explains how Age Face ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
What we collect. The only face data the App processes is the photograph you choose to submit (a selfie you take, or an image you pick from your library). The App does not create, store, or maintain a facial-recognition template, faceprint, or any persistent biometric identifier, and it does not attempt to identify who you are.
How it is used. Your photo is used for one purpose only: to generate a fun, apparent-age and related-attribute estimate (such as approximate age, perceived gender, and facial expression/emotion) that is shown back to you on your device. This is entertainment — not identity verification, surveillance, biometric matching, age-gating, advertising, or profiling. We do not use your photos to train our own models.
Sharing & storage. To produce the estimate, the photo is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the third-party AI providers described in Section 4, which operate in multiple countries. It may be held in short-lived temporary storage only for as long as needed to deliver it to a provider, and is then removed from our systems. One provider (DeepFace) runs on our own server and is not a third party. We do not sell face data and do not share it with any party other than these analysis providers.
Retention. We do not retain your photo after the estimate is produced, beyond the brief temporary copy needed to deliver it for analysis. Your on-device history stores only the resulting estimates (numbers and labels), never a biometric template, and is deleted when you delete the App. Some third-party providers may retain an uploaded image for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) under their own data-retention policies for abuse-monitoring or operational purposes, after which it is deleted on their side.
To produce a panel of estimates, photos are sent to AI providers operating in multiple countries, which may include the United States, Canada, France, Lithuania, Turkey, India, Singapore, China, Russia and Armenia. By using the App you consent to this international transfer and processing. Each provider processes the image under its own privacy and data-retention policies. We select providers that offer an analysis/inference service, but we do not control their internal practices.
One provider (DeepFace) runs on our own server and is not operated by a third party.
Age Face is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will assist.
Analysis history and settings live on your device and are deleted when you delete the App. Photos sent for analysis are deleted after processing — we do not keep them beyond the short-lived temporary copy needed to deliver them to a provider. Some third-party AI providers may retain an uploaded image for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for abuse-monitoring or operational purposes, under their own data-retention policies, after which it is deleted on their side.
Images are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
